Intense Pulsed Light - AFT ... The New Technology AFT (Advanced Fluorescence Technology) is the next generation of pulsed light technology. Its break through design converts unused light into the optimal spectrum used by each application. The unique shape of each AFT pulse limits peak power to only the therapeutic range, precisely heating its intended target with remarkably little or NO skin damage or discomfort. An advanced algorithm stabilises each pulse to ensure repeatable treatments that are safe & effective. Put into simplified terms, AFT limits its light power to go no higher than the therapeutic range for the procedure. Where IPL machines can power through the therapeutic range (this is where skin damage & burning occurs), AFT will not. Aft also recyles the light used through filters. PSimply, you get a more efficient & totally usable pulse of light that also reduces the discomfort levels experienced with old IPL technology. A BETTER, LESS PAINFUL RESULT FOR YOU AFT Permanent Hair Reduction is not a quick fix. Hair exists and grows in different stages, and AFT can only effect the hair that is in the GROWTH STAGE. You will see results after the first treatment (as the hairs in the growth stage have been destroyed), but complete hair reduction will not occur until approx. 4-6 treatments have been performed. This allows the hair folicles that are in the dormant stage to progress into the growth stage where they can then be dealt with. The number of treatments is also dependant on the hair & skin type of the client.
